This Sewn-Up jewellery range by Sara Bukumunhe was conceived when Sara brought home a basketful of embroidery threads from a charity shop, there were so many beautiful colours, and many of them were vintage. She wanted to incorporate them into her jewellery, to add colour and texture. Further inspired by her collection of pebbles gathered from many beaches over many years, Sara particularly loved the ones with a white line of quartz running through them - it was a perfect marriage of materials and ideas, which became the 'Sewn-Up' range, pebble shaped and textured pieces with coloured quartz stitches.
