A great class for wonderful people to make beautiful things, to learn, to laugh and to have fun!

What you will make.

Work with silver to make various pieces of jewellery, using traditional jewellery techniques. We use mainly copper and silver but you can also work in gold if you wish. We mainly make jewellery, but have also been known to make window decorations, spoons and even boxes!

We cater for every level of skill.

Our classes are open to any level of experience, from complete beginners to experienced makers.

If you are a beginner, you will begin to learn the basic skills of jewellery making, cutting, texturing, soldering. We usually start making a simple ring or a bangle before moving onto a pendant, but I am happy to be flexible around your own ideas!

The more advanced maker can either work on preset projects that are more challenging or after discussion with us you can set your own projects and I will help you to achieve your desired results. I am happy to support you on self directed projects, help you to design your own jewellery and even create a collection for sale. Please do get in touch if there is anything specific you want to learn. More specialist techniques may need to be taught one to one as opposed to in a class situation. Please drop us an email HERE to discuss if you're not sure.

Our jewellery making facilities.

We have a small but well equipped traditional jewellery workshop, housing a good variety of machines and hand tools. We can tackle most basic skills and also have a good selection of specialist tools.

The cost

This course costs £190, costs on top are for your materials. For a beginner you can expect to pay about £5-10 on materials for a simple ring, £15-20 for a bangle, in a term I would expect you to make 2 pieces depending on what you choose to make and how complicated the designs are.

It is entirely possible to work in copper or to deign pieces that are smaller and lighter to work to a budget, or make big and bold pieces as you wish! Materials can be bought from us directly. Everyone pays just for what they use.

A great gift for a jewellery fan

Our courses can be purchased as a gift for someone else, it’s a great gift for someone who enjoys working with their hands, and doesn’t mind getting them dirty! The course is suitable for complete beginners or someone with previous experience
