Slowing down at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park
Last week, Rach and I took a much-needed creative day. We strolled through the Yorkshire Sculpture Park under a warm spring sun, breathing in the calm and talking about where we’ve come from and where we’re going. Between chats about life, work, and everything in between, we found ourselves reflecting on just how much the jewellery school has grown—and how creativity has been the thread running through it all.
Running a business is a busy business, and I often feel like I’m moving at 100 miles an hour. But taking that moment to pause reminded me why we do what we do. Our jewellery classes in Leeds aren’t just about teaching people how to make beautiful pieces—they’re about giving people time for themselves, helping them slow down, and reconnect with something deeper.
Why Learn Jewellery Making?
Jewellery making is therapeutic. Truly. There’s something grounding about using your hands, focusing on the details, and creating something meaningful. Many of our students tell us it’s the one space in their week where they can fully switch off from work, parenting, and stress. When people ask us how to learn jewellery in a way that also supports their wellbeing, this is what we point them to: space to learn, calmness, and connection with like minded people.
Where Can I Learn Jewellery in Yorkshire?
If you’ve been searching for 'where can I learn jewellery in Yorkshire?', we’d love to welcome you to our warm and friendly studio in the stunning setting of Sunny Bank Mills in Farsley, West Leeds. From weekly sessions, Saturday project based workshops, private tuition, networking or masterclasses, we’ve created a community where people can learn, connect, and breathe. You don’t need experience for our weekly, private or Saturday workshops. Just curiosity and a bit of time for yourself.
Classes Designed With Real Life in Mind
Life is hectic—we get it. That’s why our jewellery classes are built to work around busy schedules, with evening and weekend options available. Whether you’re popping in for a Saturday workshop or committing to a longer course, you’ll leave with not just jewellery, but a sense of calm and purpose. You can walk away with pride and confidence in your new found skills, and tea and chats are always on offer for the days when you need more than just jewellery.
Our Handmade Jewellery: Crafted With Intention
And if you're not quite ready to jump into a class yet, we also sell handmade jewellery created in our studio. Each piece is a reflection of what we teach: slow, thoughtful craftsmanship that holds meaning. They're ideal for gifts or as personal reminders to pause and nurture your creativity.
