We offer various ways to learn, from weekly classes, to weekend workshops and one to one sessions. Read more about it below.
Options to learn jewellery making.
Weekly classes:
Our weekly ongoing jewellery classes are very popular, with some students returning year after year and becoming semi professional and even selling their jewellery and moving towards becoming professional jewellers. We teach complete beginners alongside our more advanced practitioners in our professional, well equipped jewellery workshop. We teach in pairs and our tutors bring a variety of skills to the table, we have over 60 years of jewellery making experience between us (not each, we aren't that old!). If you want to learn in greater depth and also have help and support with your design skills then weekly classes are the best option for you. Places sell fast so if you are interested in being the first to know about places, please join the mailing list HERE and you will receive an email when spaces become available. Classes currently run on a Monday evening, Tuesday evening, Thursday evening and a Friday morning. Places are sold on a first come first served basis.
Weekend workshops:
Weekend workshops are project based, from 'Make a bangle' to 'Make stacking rings' or technique based 'Silver Clay Saturday' or 'Wax Carving and Casting Weekend'. We also have added some half days at the end of the year to make an 'Heirloom Christmas Decoration'. Each day is a complete project in itself, no previous experience is necessary and you will leave with a finished piece of jewellery. Join the mailing list HERE to be notified of new workshops as they are planned in.
One to one teaching - private jewellery lessons:
If you are looking to learn a specific skill, achieve a particular project or the class times do not suit you, you might prefer to book private tuition. Come yourself or bring a friend at a time that we decide between us and learn a challenging and rewarding new skill with attention from experienced jewellery makers. Prices vary depending on the project. Please get in touch to discuss what you want to do and we can work out a plan for you and advise you how long we think you would need to complete your project. One to one teaching is available 10am-3pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.
Gift vouchers:
Vouchers for a workshop make a great present. The great thing about our gift vouchers is that you can buy one for a specific workshop or alternatively buy a voucher that can be used to pay for any available class or jewellery from the website. This is ideal if you are not sure of which date they can attend or if you would like them to be able to either buy a workshop or treat themselves to a piece of jewellery. A gift voucher is a versatile gift, either purchase from the specific page for that workshop to book a place, or book a flexible voucher HERE.
Here at The Emma White Jewellery Studio we respect everyone's identities. Feel free to share your pronouns if you'd like. We believe in creating a welcoming environment for all.
