This privacy policy sets out how The Jewellery Makers uses and protects any information that you provide when you use this website.
We greatly value our privacy, so The Jewellery Makers is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Where we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.
We may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes. This policy is effective from 25th April 2018.
Please note that If you would prefer to order goods from us directly, please contact us by telephone, social media or email and we will be happy to fulfil your order in this manner. You can make payments in person with cash, or via direct bank transfer, details supplied on request.
1. The Information We Collect
When you register an account or place an order with us, we are provided with the following information about you:

We require this information to provide an efficient service and to meet the following purposes, in particular:

Internal record-keeping and reporting procedures
If you subscribe to our newsletter service, we may periodically send promotional emails about new products, special offers or other information that we think you may find interesting. You will not be contacted by third parties. You will NOT receive promotional emails unless you opt-in to this subscription. We mail out typically weekly, although this may be less at some times of the year and more at busy times of the year, for example, on the run up to Christmas.
Please note that this website is hosted by Shopwired; when you interact with Pink Butterfly/The Jewellery Makers. Shopwired use traffic log cookies to identify which pages are being used on the site and to analyse visitor behaviour through statistics. Other types of cookies on our various platforms and tools which are integral to these systems.
When you purchase through the website, your order and contact information is retained on the Shopwired servers. These servers are located in Ireland and subject to the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) 2018. We retain order details for 3 years, for our financial records.

2. Sharing Your Details
We may disclose your personal information to any The Jewellery Makers service provider (e.g. Royal Mail) or where we are required to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation or to protect the rights, property or safety of the company and our customers.
This includes but is not limited to exchanging information with Shopwired and other companies and organisations for the purposes of fraud protection, credit risk reduction and dispute policies.
We will only share information when it is necessary to do so for operational or legal purpose. Only the pertinent information will be shared.
Deliveries sent by Royal Mail are despatched from the Post Office counter - your information is not transmitted electronically.
3. Our Newsletter
Our newsletter is a great way to hear about our forthcoming products and promotions. We create the newsletter in-house but we use a MailChimp integration for email delivery. MailChimp include Web Beacons in the emails they deliver for us. They use the data to create reports about how our customers interact with our emails. They may also seek supplemental information in order to personalise their service to us.
MailChimp have certified their agreement with the EU-US and Swiss-US Privacy Shields so, whilst your data is transferred to the USA, your data is subject to the GDPR and the Privacy Shields are recognised mechanisms for data protection compliance.

You are NOT automatically subscribed to the newsletter upon placing an order or creating an account with us – it is an “opt-in” feature so you tell us you wish to subscribe by selecting the newsletter option/signing up online or instore. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the link in any email you receive, changing the setting within the “Newsletter” section of your account or by contacting us directly.
4. e-commerce Tracking Tools
4.1 Cookies

We also use Google Analytics to help us improve your experience. Google Analytics is a web analysis service provided by Google. Google utilises the data collected to track and examine the use of www.pinkbutterflyjewellery.co.uk, to prepare reports on its activities and share them with other Google services. Google may use the data collected to contextualise and personalise the ads of its own advertising network. Google collects data pertaining to your device and location e.g. IP address, device model. As set out in section 2., we do not share your information with third parties unless it is necessary to do so for operational or legal purpose.
4.2 Social Network Icons
The Pink Butterfly/The Jewellery Makers website uses social networking icons and may sometimes embed video content from websites such as YouTube. If you visit a page with embedded content or access social network pages e.g. Facebook via the relevant icon the website, you may be presented with cookies from these sites.
